Later this year, LeBron James and Nike will continue their more than 20-year relationship with the release of King James’ 22nd signature shoe, the LeBron 22. The shoe will be unveiled with a Monopoly-themed collaboration. The new model was first reported by Sneaker Files, but it’s still not clear if the pictures are real or fake. Like the LeBron 21, they look like they have a low-cut design and a disconnected heel. The LeBron 22’s tech specs have not been released yet, but the LeBron 21 has a full-length Cushlon 2.0 cushion and a forefoot Zoom Turbo unit, which may be used on James’s next shoe.
Based on these early pictures, the Monopoly x Nike LeBron 22 will have a shiny silver and money green color scheme. It will also have a gum base and a Monopoly money print all over the top. A small, standard Swoosh is on the outsole, and James’ name is on the heel. The side panel has an artistic, moving Swoosh patch. The leaked information also said that the LeBron 22 would come in a “Royal Pulse/Diffused Blue/Football Grey/Metallic Silver” design, but pictures of that supposedly real shoe have not been seen yet.
While Nike hasn’t said anything about the LeBron 22 or any Monopoly collaborations yet, more information about these bucks and buckets should be coming out soon.
